I have been photographing this family for a couple years now, its pretty amazing to watch families grow.
The little brother was so smitten with his sister, it was pretty cute!
Newborn session sessions can be done at my north vancouver or clayton heights studio. Typically around 5-12 days new.
The one thing I love so much about maternity photography is that moms have a special occasion to dress up, put some make up on, do their hair and wear some clothes that make them feel good. I offer a bunch of wardrobe choices so if you even wanted, you could just show up and we could play dress up!
The difference between a newborn mini session and a full session is that you get more time to get multiple set ups and poses. We can do some sibling photos, mom and babe, dad and babe, family and posed ones of just baby posed on the bean bag and in a prop.
If you don’t need all of that, a mini session is perfect to still capture that sweet newborn of yours with a couple poses and a family shot.
The option is there to give everyone choices. Both sessions can be done in home or at the studio.
Body confidence doesn’t come from trying to achieve the “perfect” body. It comes from embracing the one you’ve already got!
Milestone mini sessions are perfect for babies 3-12 months old. They can grab their feet, sit up or roll over, such fun milestones to capture and remember forever.
These sessions take place in studio and you can also bring along a sibling
This sweet family came for newborn photos and sometimes bringing a sibling is hit or miss… but this big sister was obsessed with her new baby sister- Did I capture they love?
This family wanted their photos to be at home, a little more personal and comfortable I think! The grandparents also came by for photos with their new grand baby.
Such a beautiful home, decorated so nicely and the landscape and exterior were stunning!

This summer was slow to get started but when it showed up, it didn’t disappoint! Blackie spit at Crescent beach is just such a beautiful location for photoshoots.
I am so excited to have a new studio in Clayton heights, in surrey. It is just for newborns but its perfect.

Crescent beach in Surrey is so beautiful, my top place to photograph families this time of year.
One of the cool things about my job is the relationships I build with clients and then when they come back years later and seeing how their family has grown. Its been about 4 years since I have seen this family and I honestly love their entire gallery!
We met at Dunderave beach in West Vancouver and it was the perfect summer night.

What a crazy few months it has been because of Covid I was off work for over 3 months! Getting back to the studio felt so good. Back doing what I love!

Happy that the sun is out and I can wear sandals for the next 5 months or so. I don’t know about you but when the warm weather comes, I try to never complain about the heat. I really dislike winter!
Bring on summer. Bring on the warmer weather, sunset sessions at the beach and all the baby bumps!
Vancouver in the spring is one of my most favourite seasons. We get lucky enough to get lush green grass, beautiful flowers and those golden sunsets.
The tulip festival out in the Fraser valley is so beautiful! If you ever get the chance to go- you should! Totally worth it and wait until sunset as most people leave by then!

While the world right now seems like its turned upside down, a time that the whole world is going through the same thing, some have it worse than others but here in BC we have tried really hard to flatten the curve.
We aren’t allowed to visit with anyone outside of our household, no parks are open, schools are closed and most people aren’t working and if they are its from home or they are considered a essential service.
A lot of the time people can’t commit to doing family sessions because coordinating schedules is sometimes hard but now, everyone is home. Everyone and everything has slowed down.
A few photographers have offered porch sessions for families. I decided to do the same but give half the amount raised to Backpack Buddies.
“B.C. schools are suspended indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The nearly 1,500 kids we serve will not be returning to class as planned, and their parents who rely on school breakfast and lunch programs to feed them, are scrambling to make ends meet.” “All it takes is $15 to cover the costs of an enhanced bag of food. In addition to the 6 meals and snacks our kids would normally receive over the weekend, we are adding extra snacks, meals and whole foods including pasta, rice, soups, canned proteins and other pantry staples. As always, everything we pack will be kid-friendly, accessible and easy to prepare.”
Day one we raised $500 for backpack buddies.
